PUPPY RESERVATION FEE- $500.00

Reservation Fee: This fee is not refundable. Once you have sent a deposit, you are agreeing to allowing us reasonable time (12 months) to identify a puppy that is appropriate for you. The deposit covers the processing of your application and communication/updates prior to receiving a puppy. Should you decide for any reason after submitting the deposit to not continue with purchasing a puppy, it will not be refunded.

DEPOSIT NOTES ***

  • If you submit a deposit and choose to pass up THREE litter or puppy options offered to you that suit what you have indicated wanting, you will be removed from the reservation list and you forfeit your deposit.
  • If you are on a specific litter reservation list and go through the entire assessment process when puppies are 6 weeks of age, and then decide to not continue with the purchase after you’ve been offered a puppy, you will be removed from our reservation list and you forfeit your deposit.
  • If you or an immediate family member experience a major medical health issue, such as cancer, and it is no longer wise to purchase and raise a puppy, we will refund the deposit. PICKING UP YOUR PUPPY or HAVING US HAND DELIVER TO YOU – WE WILL NOT SHIP CARGO!

We look forward to meeting you! The date and time for litter pick ups will be set months in advance. You will have time to plan your schedule and make travel arrangements out to visit us.  It is a fun time to meet and see where the puppies have been raised, and maybe even see a little bit of beautiful Oregon!

Should customers not be able to pick up their puppy in person on the pick up dates we do have trusted puppy transporters who can hand deliver your puppy to you.  This option is only available if the transporters are available that week. Customers who want hand delivery would cover the round trip airfare for the transporters flight, the airline puppy fee, and $250.00 for west of Mississippi deliveries or $500 for east of Mississippi deliveries. We do not hold puppies past their 9 week birth date.

HOW THE PUPPY ADOPTION PROCESS WORKS

Submit an application to be reviewed. Once we have approved your application you will be required to submit a deposit in order to be placed on our reservation list. Please review the information on our current estimated wait time and reservation process on the website.

Submit the deposit. Review our website thoroughly for information on preparing for a puppy and more. Prepare your home and yard for bringing a puppy home. Assess yard and home for poisonous plants and remove or provide proper protection around them. Purchase basic puppy care items. Review proper puppy handling with your children. Interview potential trainers and veterinarians.

Watch our Puppies & Litters page of the website for updates to timing of litters. As soon as a litter is bred we will update that page with the exact due date expected. Puppies go home 8 weeks after a litter is born. Once a litter is confirmed by ultrasound, we will notify the next 5 families on the list that a litter is due and provide them the specific details of color and size that are expected. If the litter or timing is not of interest, the family can continue waiting for the next litter. If you have not been provided information on a confirmed litter, then your position on the reservation list has not come up in line yet.

Remember the original time frame provided for puppy availability. If there is anything to communicate about a change in the timing we originally communicated to you, we will reach out and let you know immediately. If a puppy comes available sooner than expected and you are next in line on the reservation list, you will be notified right away. It is not uncommon for someone to be told the wait will be 6-8 months, then two months later they email asking if they will be getting a puppy in the next month or two. We realize waiting is hard, but our estimates are fairly accurate and we will absolutely communicate any change to expected timing, if there is something to communicate.

Puppy birth announcement! After you have been notified of an upcoming litter, the next step is waiting for the puppy birth announcement. We will send this out as soon as a litter is born with all the specific details. Colors, gender, birthdate, scheduled dates for picking up puppies later, and documents on how to prepare. Every two weeks we will email out an update and photo. Temperament assessments will be done at 6 weeks of age and families notified about the puppy option(s) that were suitable for their desires as well as their home suitable for the specific puppy.

Preparing for puppy! While you are waiting for your puppy and receiving litter updates, now is the time to finalize all your preparations. One important detail is knowing how to train. We highly recommend that each family purchase this incredible training book that has well written instructions, great photos, and wonderful QR codes you scan with your phone to pull up demo videos to assist you in knowing how to train that particular skill. No other training resource provides this much for such a little fee! The training book is available on Amazon at PRACTICAL PUPPY TRAINING BOOTCAMP

Final Preparation & Picking Up. After receiving your puppy information, you will have two final weeks to wrap up any details you have not taken care of yet. If we have not already coordinated an appointment time for your pick up, we will do so at this time. Final payment by wire transfer only will need to be received by week 7, as well as a signed health warranty/contract returned to us. These details will be provided in the puppy matching information sent out at 6 weeks of age.

IMPORTANT BOOKS TO READ BEFORE ADOPTING A PUPPY

We ask that every customer purchasing an Australian Labradoodle puppy from us read two very helpful and important books.  The information will make a tremendous difference in the adjustment and assimilation of a puppy into your home.  Many people have a false idea of how they should handle dogs, or what they respond to.  Most dog issues are for the most part issues with people, not with the dogs.  Please read:

The Practical Puppy Bootcamp is our recommended book for the most training help for your money. The book has well written instructions, photos, and QR codes you can pull up with your phone and watch demonstrations of how to teach each skill. Easy to use right in the middle of training!
